2. அங்க3: = மடி, குறி, ஒன்பது என்னும் எண்ணிக்கை, பக்கம், நாடகத்தின் ஒரு பகுதி, வளைந்த ஆயுதம்.

3. அங்க3ம் = உடல், உடலின் உறுப்பு, பாகம், சொல்லின் மூல உருவம்.

4. அங்க3னா = பெண், அழகி, கன்யா ராசி.

5. அஜ: = பிறப்பற்றவன், விஷ்ணு, சிவன், பிரம்மா, ஆன்மா, செம்மறி ஆட்டுக்கிடா, மேஷ ராசி, சந்திரன், காமன்.

6, அண்ட3ம் = பீஜம், அண்டகோசம், முட்டை, மானின் கஸ்தூரி, வீர்யம்.

7. அதி3தி = பூமி, தேவர்களின் தாயார், புனர்வசு நட்சத்திரம்.

8. அத்3ரி = மலை, கல், சூரியன் , மரம், மேகம், மேகக் கூட்டம், எண் ஏழு

9. அதி4ஷ்டானம் = அருகில் இருத்தல், ஆதாரம், வசிக்குமிடம், பதவி, துறவியின் சமாதி.

10. அத்4யக்ஷ: = தலைவர், அக்ராசனர், மேற்பார்வையாளர் .

11. அத்4யயனம் = படித்தல், வேதம் ஓதுதல்.

12. அத்4யாய: = பாடம், அத்யாயம்.

13. அனக4 = பாவமற்ற, குற்றமற்ற, சுத்தமான.

14. அனக4: = விஷ்ணு , சிவன், வெள்ளைக் கடுகு.

15. அனங்க3:= உடல் அற்றவன், மன்மதன், காற்று.

16. அனந்தம் = ஆகாயம், வாயுமண்டலம், மோக்ஷம், பரபிரம்மம்.

17. அனந்த: = ஆதிசேஷன், விஷ்ணு, கிருஷ்ணன், பலராமன், சிவன், பாம்பரசன் வாசுகி, மேகம், கதை, ஸ்ரவண நட்சத்திரம்.

18. அனர்த்த2: = பயனற்ற பொருள், கெடுதி, ஆபத்து.

19. அனல: = அக்னி தேவன், நெருப்பு, ஜீரண சக்தி, கிருத்திகை நட்சத்திரம்.

20. அநித்திய = அழிவுள்ள, நிச்சயமற்ற, சஞ்சலமான.

      Aswa: is a horse. This is quite common as in Aswameda yaagam.
      This collection of words can be extended to tens of thousands.
      I just selected the words which we use very often and
      whose meaning either we do not know or get confused with.

      I myself am 71! I have a wonderful dictionary which is not printed anymore. So I compiled 4200 words more commonly used by us – with or without knowing the correct pronunciation or the meaning. I am very glad my effort did not go in waste and that many Sanskrit lovers find it useful.

    Also highly appreciate your reading of comments and responding to the same.That is too great a quality,normally not found.Salutations to the same.

    I can read Thamizh as well as Samkrutham. I am looking for Thamizh. I am not finding help for the same.I am not able to find words equivalent to Thamizh words.I was trying to find out an equivalent sentence for the Thamizh sentence maalai thodukkiraargal.With this arrangement i cannot do the same.

    • A word by word translation won’t really help.
      We have to consider ‘sandhi’ which can transform the words being put together.
      It may be easier to use Goggle translator.
      Select the languages of the input info and the language in which you need the output info.
      You can get a perfect and correct translation.
      I could not find the option for sanskrit translation. Here is the Hindi version!
      “They are making garlands” => वे माला बना रहे हैं [ ve maala bana rahe hain ]

        Some of the Google translations are really hilarious….if you know both those languages.
        I have a hearty laugh whenever I read my own comments translated into another language.
        If ignorant in one of those languages you won’t even know what is wrong!
